Job opportunityMedical Manager Gujarat State Network of People Living With HIV/AIDS (GSNP+) Designation : Medical Manager Job Code : GSNP/Svetana/2020-21/05 About GSNP+ and PPTCT Program : Gujarat State Network of People Living With HIV/AIDS (GSNP+) is a community based non- profitmaking organization formed by and for the people living with HIV/AIDS. The organization is based at Surat and members are people with various socioeconomic backgrounds. The fundamental principle guiding the work of GSNP+ is the centrality of PLHA (People living with HIV/AIDS) in decision making process that affect their lives. We are also looking to improve quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS through various activities. Consequently GSNP+ is organized and managed by People living with HIV/AIDS. We are advocating issues of people living with HIV/AIDS at State level and working at district level through various district level networks. Position SummaryGSNP+ currently has a Medical Manager position for SVETANA – PPTCT Project located at Surat, Gujarat, responsible for Gujarat, Diu-Daman and Dadra nagar Haveli for its Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission of HIV (PPTCT) program. The position requires program implementation and technical knowledge on HIV/ AIDS and PPTCT, with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant working experience. SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIESThe incumbent will report to the State Director and work in close association with other team members to deliver the following tasks: •Training of doctors though onsite clinical mentoring and various training techniques •Organising experience sharing meetings for the staff of private & public hospitals involved in the program .Capacity building of program team of GSNP+ through on going technical guidance sessions. •Program planning and strategy development, along with program manager •Overall monitoring and internal evaluation of program along with Program Manager and Project Director •Representing program at state and district level meetings •Coordination with other HIV service providers in district •Travel to Public and private hospitals for ensuring smooth program implementation and quality of clinical services such as Counselling, HIV testing and Maternal Health services •Development of technical materials, tools and checklists, and documents •Development of activity reports including mentorships, sensitisation, trainings etc. •Sensitisation of professional medical associations’ members from IMA, FOGSI, IAP etc. and engage the private health sector for elimination of new HIV infections •Review of literatures and technical documents and development of various program reports in coordination with program team •Documentation of program activities including best practices and newsletters etc. •Capacity building of staff of private & public hospitals through onsite sensitization Any other additional tasks related to the program as required QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL-SET•Post graduation in Medical Sciences or Graduation (Allopathic or AYUSH) with a minimum of one to three year working experience in community health programs. Professionals with HIV Fellowships and /or Public Health Management qualifications and understanding of private health sector are an added advantages. |
