| VACANCY NOTICE Closing the Gaps in TB Care Cascade Position Code: IIPHG/USAID-TBCC/NC-01 Position Title: National Coordinator Location: Gandhinagar (as duty station). Need to travel to Gujarat and Jharkhand Duration of Position: 11 Months and can be extended up to 4 Years Brief on the Organization: Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) is India’s first Public Health University. IIPHG is working towards building a healthier India. Project Brief: IIPHG is implementing a project titled " Closing the Gaps in TB Care Cascade" to develop and demonstrate a monitoring framework to address TB care cascade gaps in Gujarat and Jharkhand. This project aims to strengthen district health systems in their ability to routinely and comprehensively monitor and respond to the TB care cascade. The project will develop a framework to monitor the TB care cascade and demonstrate intervention models to close cascade gaps in select geographies. Care cascades for TB sub-populations will also be created including for individuals with latent TB infection, DR-TB, co-morbidities, and other key populations. The initiative is supported through USAID and IIPHG will be a consortium partner led by World Health Partners. Deliverables: • He/ She will be part of the key position in this grant • He/ She will manage and monitor the operational research activities at national level and to assist the core team with technical consultation to assess its feasibility, acceptance, adaptability, and costing of the interventions. • The National Coordinator will be responsible for coordination with respective state government in programme implementation, USAID and project partners including World Health Partners, Everwell and Harvard School of Public Health. • He/ She will provide assistance regarding formulation of tool to document the perspectives of providers and patients. • He/ She guide the technical officer in documenting the findings for effective functioning of the program. • He/ She will travel to facilitate the trainings and capacity building activities for various interventions and engage in improvisation of training methodology. • He/ She will conduct stakeholder meetings and improvise and strengthen the operational research strategy if needed and assist the TO (research) in documenting the field related findings in the form of reports and publications. • HE/ She will undertake any other activity suggested by the core team Qualification:Essential: M.D in Community medicine or PhD in Public Health with significant experience in working in the state health system. Preference for the candidate with experience to work with NTEP. Should have strong research background, report writing, data analysis and managing softwares Strong communication skills to effectively correspond and cognitive skill to conduct trainings Remuneration : Annual Salary (CTC) will commensurate with the available skills and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process. Maximum salary Rs. 1,38,000 pm.
